Review—Basic and Advanced Inertial Navigation Fluid-Based Technology
نویسندگان
چکیده
The article reviews most published inertial sensor technologies, including dynamically tuned, optical, MEMS vibratory, mechanical, solid-state, and fluid-based. working principles of the technologies are elaborated. Also, advantages disadvantages those sensors laid out. Owing to its excellent overall performance, such as simple structure, low cost, large measurement range, etc, current review focuses on state-of-the-art fluid-based technology accelerometers gyroscopes. sensing elements that used in accelerometer gyroscope explained. Moreover, a comparison analysis presented. shows thermal resistor has five orders magnitude which is highest dynamic range. However, porous transducer higher bandwidth almost 120 Hz. Furthermore, particle imaging velocimetry (PIVG) reviewed. PIVG an innovative measure angular rate where fluid proof mass. low-cost drift-free. Additionally, compared commercially available gyroscopes, provides superior signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

Inertial navigation systems are of the most important and practical systems in determining the velocity, position and attitude of the vehicles and different equipment. In these systems, three accelerometers and three gyroscopes are used to measure linear accelerations and angular velocities of vehicles, respectively. By using the output of these sensors and special inertial algorithms in differ...
متن کاملUsing Inertial Sensors in Smartphones for Curriculum Experiments of Inertial Navigation Technology
Inertial technology has been used in a wide range of applications such as guidance, navigation, and motion tracking. However, there are few undergraduate courses that focus on the inertial technology. Traditional inertial navigation systems (INS) and relevant testing facilities are expensive and complicated in operation, which makes it inconvenient and risky to perform teaching experiments with...
